World Class Coaching & Supervision

In addition to being a recognised coach, member of the Association for Coaching and the International Coach Federation, Cathy is one of the most experienced Coaching Supervisors in the UK today. Cathy has a wealth of experience coaching and supervising at Senior Executive and Board levels; most recently she has worked with organisations such as Sainsbury's, National Express, Mitchells & Butlers, KPMG, UCL, Royal Mail, Aon Hewitt, Exeter University and at the highest levels within the government to name but a few.

Particular highlights include being involved in a major CPD and Supervision programme within a prestigious Russell Group university. One of the CPD workshops she delivered helped the coaches identify a number of factors that were particularly significant to working within Academia, both in terms of implications for the coachees and implications for the coaches themselves.  In turn, this newly articulated awareness helped the coaches use their existing tools and techniques more powerfully in their coaching interventions, helping to make the coaching even more effective.

Cathy has also delivered coaching skills training to the senior managers of a UK public transport company. Cathy now delivers a combination of 1-to-1 and group supervision to a select group of coaches within this company, helping to ensure that they deliver quality coaching and support the organisational change to a coaching culture through their excellent role modelling and outstanding delivery of coaching style every time it is appropriate.  The results of their new ‘enquiry led’ approach to dealing with direct reports, suppliers, customers and peers has so far led to a five times financial ROI against the original investment.

Cathy delivers CPD, Group and 1-2-1 Supervision to internal coaches within the second largest chain of supermarkets in the United Kingdom. One such CPD workshop Cathy delivered was around the benefits of Reflective Practice and techniques for improving your reflective practice - even when you're short of time. Delegates also learned about Supervision, in order to get more on- going value from their personal time investment in it.

Cathy is a UKCP accredited relational psychotherapist who maintains a private psychotherapy practice alongside her organisational work. She is accredited to administer MBTI and other psychometrics. An understanding of people and the psychological underpinnings to transformational change are part of what makes her coaching so successful. Cathy is also a lecturer at Middlesex University on Reflective Practice.

American by birth, Cathy has been in the UK for nearly 30 years. Many people still ask her what time her plane arrived at Heathrow – her accent is still very much from ‘over there’. She combines the best of American directness, challenge and enthusiastic support with the best of British depth and subtlety.

What Cathy’s Clients say about her:

Cathy continuously receives glowing testimonials from her Supervision clients. Below are some examples of specific quotes that her clients have said about her.

Cathy has been a real pleasure to work with as a supervisor. She manages to get right to the heart of my issues and supports me with just the right mix of coaching and guidance. Cathy has such a huge breadth of relevant experience to draw on and has recommended approaches and additional support materials that have really worked for me and my coachees. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending Cathy as a supervisor

Jenifer Richmond, HR Director, National Express

Cathy's friendly and firm style gave me a very good balance of challenge and support to assure the best growth in my chosen path.  Moreover, Cathy is very experienced and knowledgeable having loads of case studies to share. In addition to that I've always felt her honesty and true care what made a huge impact at the initial stage of my coaching career. I could not recommend anyone higher.

Gabija Toleikyte, Neuroscientist and Career Coach, UCL

During the months we worked together, Cathy supported me to review my coaching experiences with a view to deepening my self awareness and my range of choices as a coach. Our supervision sessions sometimes involved listening to my coaching on tape and discussing general coaching concerns as well as exploring my more personal patterns and challenges. All this was done in a spirit of openness, acceptance, generosity, curiosity and exploration. Working with Cathy, in this way, was deeply supportive for my coaching practice.

Janette Blakemore, Insight Coaching

I am delighted to be able to recommend Cathy, as a coach and supervisor. Cathy helped me quite literally, transform my life. I particularly valued her ability to be completely present, and thus enable me to connect entirely with my situation, and thus move on.
