Catherine has been coaching and facilitating business leaders and their teams for 20 years. Cathy brings a rare mix of coal-face business experience coupled with Management Development, Business Change and Personal Skills expertise. Her style of delivery is insightful and challenging whilst remaining pragmatic and empathetic.


Cathy’s business background stretches from being a Retail Sales Manager to Finance, Global IT Outsourcing and HR Consultancy. This includes 13 years within IBM, where Cathy was an international coach and lead consultant on strategic change and leadership development with EMEA and Global Executives.

World Class Executive Coaching


Whilst with IBM, Catherine was afforded an early opportunity to develop IBM’s nascent coaching programmes by establishing a robust internal infrastructure to support the development of an internal coaching culture.  As a Certified Master Practitioner of NLP, she went on to train cadres of internal coaches within IBM, and also presented a wide variety of internal training programmes to support this. She has also coached and run Leadership Development programmes at very senior levels in other organisations such as Cable and Wireless and BT.


Cathy’s clients range across companies such as Halcrow, UCL, National Express, Amadeus, The Financial Times, Cable and Wireless, British Telecoms, DBM and IBM. Particular highlights include working with the EMEA Director of a large construction company (£500m+ turnover), with Micro Focus during a period of intense growth (now a FTSE200 company) on leadership, market growth, organisational culture and retention issues and being the leadership coach for the CEO and main board of IBM UK.

Alongside her Executive Coaching, Catherine has continued to work with a variety of business leaders as a facilitator of our programmes to help Leaders and Managers to develop their overall management capabilities, specifically around developing a coaching or enquiry led approach to Leadership and leveraging team performance.

Cathy has an MBA and is trained in Coaching, Change Facilitation, NLP, TQM and ISO9000, Leadership Behaviours, Organisational and Team Dynamics, Advanced Mediation and Communication Skills. Cathy is also a member of the International Coach Federation and Corporate Coach U and is often seen speaking at international events on the field of coaching. Cathy lives on the south coast. Her interests include classic cars, scuba diving, dancing and horses.


Case Studies

Cathy worked with an EMEA Director in a large international construction company.  The coaching focused on leveraging peer & board relations, adapting personal style, business strategy & focus.  During the coaching relationship the client changed roles within the organisation and Cathy worked with them to engage their new team, prioritisation and direction setting.

Cathy worked for a large global Catering Group that had become so focused operationally that the people development agenda had been left behind, leading to a high level of disengagement.  Working from the leadership group down through the next tiers of management, Cathy ran a number of programmes to equip Leaders and Managers with the tools that they needed to be more effective in driving productivity whilst at the same time also driving up accountability and engagement.  Not known for its considerate management practices, a recently reported benefit has been that large commercial kitchens have developed a new more collaborative dynamic, with Chefs embracing the tools that they have learned to drive up the quality of what’s being produced by the kitchens whilst simultaneously improving the levels of motivation and morale – engagement has improved as a result.
