World Class Executive Coaching
Cathy is a highly experienced Executive Coach, steeped in coaching process and methodologies – she has coached for literally thousands of hours and has trained hundreds of people in coaching skills to different levels. She has worked with people across a wide range of organisations, and at levels from C-suite to senior manager.
In the corporate sector a recent example includes being involved in a transformational leadership programme at an international construction materials business, coaching a number of senior executives in support of their executive education programme. Cathy has also coached a number of senior leaders at major UK universities, including a number who have been promoted to new positions, coaching them through the selection process as well as in the ‘first 90 days’ of their new positions.
Cathy has worked extensively with large international professional services firms at Partner and Director level across Europe, conducting one-to-one Executive Coaching, leadership development programmes, preparing for and achieving promotions, coaching skills training, and action learning sets.
In addition to being a member of the Association for Coaching and the International Coach Federation, Cathy has been an accredited Coaching Supervisor for over 10 years. Over this time Cathy has lead coach training programmes for over 350 coaches and has personally supervised over 200 coaches. She is now one of the most highly experienced coaching trainers and coaching supervisors in the UK.
Alongside her strong commercial and financial background, Cathy is also an accredited psychotherapist, as well as accredited to administer MBTI and other psychometrics. An understanding of people and the psychological underpinnings to transformational change are part of what makes her coaching so successful. Cathy accredited to deliver the ILMs Level 7 Certificate in Executive Coaching and is also a lecturer at Middlesex University on Reflective Practice.
Cathy coached a senior director in a major public service organisation who had been tasked with bringing a major new commercial operation on line. To be successful in this, he had to make time for significant new learning and deliver big results in a short time frame. Supported by coaching, he was able to leverage his team even more successfully, improve his personal profile among the most senior stakeholders, and enhance his own commercial skills, bringing the project in, and on time.
Cathy coached a Head of Department at a leading UK University who wanted support to work through some political entanglements in the workplace. Cathy supported him through coaching to identify appropriate actions to take internally, build new sources of support as well as enhance existing ones. The coaching also focussed on future career planning in light of these entanglements. Supported by coaching, the Head of Department was able to re-align himself in the University and resolve his own internal struggles with what had transpired.
Cathy coached a senior manager at a leading UK charity who had been accused of bullying in the workplace. Through coaching, the manager began to see the workplace culture more clearly, to accept his role in the bullying allegations, and to determine more culturally appropriate behaviours for the future. Feedback from others confirms that he is no longer perceived as bullying in the workplace.

Cathy provides a rare combination of executive business coaching with in-depth psychological knowledge. Depending on the topic at hand, she offers practical, to-the-point suggestions, while at the same time triggering broader introspection for the coachee”Commercial Director, Air France/KLM
The personal and business benefits gained from coaching with Cathy Lasher were invaluable. The techniques she introduced me to helped me reach sound conclusions on issues I was dealing with. There was no real requirement to understand the type of business I run, more the way I run it or want to run it, therefore our time was maximised in dealing with the key objectives I wanted to improve on or problems I encountered where I needed a voice of reason to help see the way forward. This was a true partnership in every sense of the word.”Claire Lawson, Managing Director, Camm & Hooper
It has been great to have someone external to my organisation to coach me, both by offering a safe environment in which to test ideas and also by being away from day-to-day distractions. Cathy has been instrumental in helping me to "hold up a mirror" to myself in order to see myself as others do. The sessions have been both challenging and very rewarding; the benefits of our work together have been rapidly visible.”
Principal & Actuary, Aon Consulting
I found the time I spent working with Cathy to be one of the best investments I have made professionally.”Director, KPMG
