Catherine has been coaching and facilitating business leaders and their teams for 20 years.  During a successful career with IBM, Catherine was one of thirty Organisational Leadership Development consultants developing the Global Top 300 Leaders. MBA qualified, she brings a mix of business experience coupled with Management Development, Business Change and Personal Skills. 

Whilst with IBM, Catherine was afforded an early opportunity to develop IBM’s nascent coaching programmes by establishing a robust internal infrastructure to support the development of an internal coaching culture.  


As well as being an outstanding Executive Coach and Trainer and having delivered our Manager as Coach programme to a selection of our highest profile clients, Cathy's main speciality is Team Coaching.  She's worked with various national and global organisations to help them leverage performance from their teams within very fast-paced environments.

As a Certified Master Practitioner of NLP, she went on to train cadres of internal coaches within IBM, and also presented a wide variety of internal training programmes to support this. She has also coached and run Leadership Development programmes at very senior levels in other organisations such as Cable and Wireless and BT. 

In her capacity as an Executive Coach, Catherine coached the CEO of IBM UK as well as a number of other senior executives in other large corporates. As an Executive Coach, her style of delivery is insightful and challenging whilst remaining pragmatic and empathetic. 

Alongside her Executive Coaching, Cathy has continued to work with a variety of business leaders as a facilitator of our programmes to help Leaders and Managers to develop their overall management capabilities, specifically around developing a coaching or enquiry led approach to Leadership and leveraging team performance.


Case Studies

Catherine designed and kicked off a world-wide executive skills development programme in a leading global telecoms company. The approach included developing a training course that aligned to the new HR leadership competency framework, sourcing both internal and external trainers and venues and delivering the pilot course to stakeholder and management teams. 

Catherine worked for a large global Catering Group that had become so focused operationally that the people development agenda had been left behind, leading to a high level of disengagement. Working from the leadership group down through the next tiers of management, Catherine ran a number of programmes to equip Leaders and Managers with the tools that they needed to be more effective in driving productivity whilst at the same time also driving up accountability and engagement. Not known for its considerate management practices, a recently reported benefit has been that large commercial kitchens have developed a new more collaborative dynamic, with Chefs embracing the tools that they have learned to drive up the quality of what’s being produced by the kitchens whilst simultaneously improving the levels of motivation and morale – engagement has improved as a result.
