Exciting News - Two Senior Leaders join the Notion Team

Exciting yes and maybe a tad mad too. Just before the pandemic hit we’d made two really critical job offers, which we believe are important for the long term growth of Notion. At a time when we know that many sensible organisations have frozen all recruitment and are having to furlough valued employees, we’re proud to have honoured those offers still for all the right reasons, even in these challenging times.
Therefore, in April 2020, we’re delighted to welcome two new exceptional senior talents to the Notion Head Office team: Angela & Matt.
With these key appointments, we’re expanding our capability to further support our valued clients and to enable us to continue to expand our virtual blended delivery over the coming months. We’ll be developing our highly-acclaimed, award-winning 100% virtual STAR® programmes whilst also adding complementary programmes around resilience, health and wellbeing. Recognising that they’re being thrown in the deep end joining us at a time when we’re operating our company from our homes, I’m pleased to introduce you to Angela & Matt.Dr Angela Armstrong - Head of Programmes

Angela has a wealth of experience as a Senior Executive Coach and Author, building on her skills as a Change Management Consultant with Accenture and expertise that she has developed on the subject of Resilience. She also brings a depth of knowledge from having gained a postgraduate qualification in designing, delivering and evaluating adult learning and development programmes. Oh, she also has a PhD in Artificial Intelligence, a rare combination of skills that align perfectly to the nature of our work with clients.
Angela will work very closely with myself and Laura, our Director of Coaching, specifically to support our client programmes and help shape solutions that will drive measurable benefits for you.
Using her IT background and her skills in designing learning programmes, Angela will also leverage the continuing growth of Notion’s online capability, and specifically, further develop our award-winning STAR® Manager programme which from April 2020 will come with a formal qualification (more details below).
And, critically in these difficult times, as the author of the Amazon No.1 best-selling book ‘The Resilience Club’, Angela’s outstanding expertise in Resilience serves to strengthen Notion’s capability in this field at a time when our clients need it most.
Matt Palmer - Client Success Team Manager

Matt joins Notion to lead our growing Client Success Team whose remit is to support all of our learners across the full range of Notion’s programmes. The team also manages every facet of the delivery of our learning and coaching programmes, taking as much of the workload off our blue-chip roster of clients as possible.
He brings strong experience and in-depth knowledge from having worked with and supported Learner Management Systems, and has a detailed understanding of the needs of HR and L&D having worked ‘on the other side’ for large organisations in both hospitality and retail. Having been a Regional Operations Manager he has experienced the pressures facing fast-paced operational businesses, and understands just how important it is that we support our learners working in busy operational environments.
A part of Matt’s responsibilities will be continuing to build on the outstanding quality and service we offer to all our clients, as well as the successful introduction of our exciting new formal qualifications. Available for the first time for completing any of our blended STAR® Programmes (as well as for both our bespoke client programmes and our Open Programmes), learners will be able to achieve level 4, 5 or level 7 qualifications.
